Current Synthesis on Policy

Proposed: A Global Direct Democracy with Localized Policy based on Municipality Needs and Values
A Global Direct Democracy, the first of its kind using a platform like this one, only far more robust and comprehensive once it's being used as an official solution that everyone agrees with. Policies are decided on locally and independently by each community of citizens.
Citizens ultimately have the freedom to choose where to live and thus, which community to be part of and which policies they care to have enforced within their local municipalities.

This matter requires attention from folks who are knowledgeable in civil engineering, farming, permaculture, circular economies, (dare I say lawyers, just so they can feel like they too can contribute to a better world?) and so on.

Why do we vote? How do we vote? How could we vote more efficiently and effectively?

Do you still vote, feeling that it is not only an opportunity and a privilege to affect change, but a national duty and obligation to help you and your fellow citizens build a just an pluralistic society that prides itself in its diversity and universality? Or, have you perhaps become so disappointed in, or even jaded by your state hierarchy that you have come to consider voting nothing more than a theatrical farce and an absolute waste of time? If there’s such a polarized view on this seemingly important action, one amongst many dichotomies that seem to define our social fabric these days, is it perhaps possible that we’ve been looking, or even believing things intrinsically in a way which paradoxically, innately and inherently feels either incomplete, inefficient, or just plain wrong?

What if your voice, my voice – our voice – mattered far more to this world than to simply replace it (our voice that is) by electing someone else, to speak on our behalf? What if we were all given the opportunity to voice our own opinions, suggestions, and ideas on all matters that concern individuals and communities, both in their local and their global environments? What if we had a platform on which civil, constructive contributions can be made and collected by everyone who has ever lived? This forum is exactly that. A humble invitation to reinvent our world in a truly universal manner permitting humanity and all its surroundings to flourish and thrive without any man-made fear or meaningless bickering, cultivating awareness, compassion and kindness instead of anger, hate and revenge.
